Description
This incredible, rotating storm, called a mesocyclone formed late yesterday afternoon in the Texas panhandle near Amarillo. I have been wanting to get a picture of a mother ship storm forever and it finally happened. There was no damage but the lightning was incredibly close. Definition of mesocyclone: a rapidly rotating air mass within a thunderstorm that often gives rise to a tornado.
