Description
The day was hot and the flies were buzzing. During the heat of the day and after filling up on hay this is how horses spend their time, stomping flies.
I hope you enjoy my equine images as much as I enjoy making them.
This image was taken in the Texas panhandle.

I always felt sorry for the horses and other livestock for having to put up with flies and the bites. Gorgeous capture Karen.
Karen Slagle replied:
Thank you, Bunny, me too...the flies are really bad right now, sure need a freeze.

Tell the middle one to get his hoof off of that fence before he gets cut! Smiling... Wonderful capture of these characters! One of my colts, that always followed me everywhere, used to chew the tails off of all the other horses. He had this long flowing tail and all the rest had short stubby tails. Love this blue sky and these silly horses! V/F
Karen Slagle replied:
Thank you Phyllis. I love horses and they are so much fun, each one an individual. And they are accidents waiting to happen...

Wonderful color and details… I love the way you caught this group of horses along the fence line. LF

Beautiful horses, Karen - my daughter puts fly masks on her horses, I don't know if that obstructs their vision though - f/v
Karen Slagle replied:
Thank you Stephanie. These are not my horses but live close by. I too put fly masks on our horses, they act a lot like sunglasses and our girls love their masks.
