This old, abandoned grain elevator sits along a road that is not used much and along some railroad tracks where the train no longer stops. This was taken at night looking up with a wide angle lens. There was a light on the other side of the elevator shining it's golden color. Love the dark blue sky with all the stars above. This image was taken in the Texas panhandle.
I have recently gotten into bird photography and really love taking their pictures. I also have a passion for clouds and the Texas landscape when the storms come rolling in. Lightning is a favorite subject during storms. I love macro photography and all the hidden detail in these amazing closeups. My arsenal consists of all Nikon cameras, flash units and Nikkor lenses. I have won monthly contests at Better Photo and I have also been published in Cowboy Magazine and Cowboys and Indians Magazine. PLEASE DO NOT PIN IMAGES TO PINTEREST.....THANK YOU

Today, I see this as lonely and isolated. Not scary like last time. Such an emotional work to me.
Karen Slagle replied:
Thank you, Bunny, need to revisit this place sometime.
Kellice Swaggerty
Karen, there is a quality of majesty which I feel is wonderfully suggested by the wide-angle and low P.O.V. looking upward. And the 2 dominant colors are so rich in their beauty and tone. Truly splendid artwork! L/F
Karen Slagle replied:
Thanks so very much Kellice.

Every time I see this, I think how isolated and a little scary this is. The sky and the clouds are beautiful. I'm always amazed at what you get from these night shots.
Karen Slagle replied:
This is why I love night photography, never know what is out there. It was a little scary with the hoot owls making noise.
