Description
Palo Duro Canyon, Texas.....The old winter home of the Comanche Indians. The last battle of the 1870's Indian wars was fought here. Not much is left of their presence. The canyon is gorgeous and so peaceful, a great place to hike and camp.

Palo Duro is a beautiful place to explore and photograph. Love the colors in your winter scene of it. Nice.

Gorgeous capture Karen. I cannot get over how similar some of your areas are to Wyoming.

Wow, what drama! Love the wild beauty of this place, though its sad history colors it. We have several battle sites around here, too, where people died not long ago in another world. fav
