Description
This Arabian mare is waiting to be fed, she thinks she is losing weight by the minute while I play with my camera. The sun is starting to set casting a glow upon the horse and the shadows show off her muscles.
This was taken in the Texas panhandle with my Nikon D3s in crop mode using a Nikkor 300mm lens with a 1.4 tele-converter.

To see the detail in deep blacks it is usually necessary to click a black area to see it in high definition. on smaller screens the quality is lost

To do the best work, we have to know how varies colors will look in the ten step Greyscale. (The name is deceptive for the scale runs from black and whites without detail. Though only SPECULAR white should be without detail and small black areas.) For adjusting images for color, does not give a FULL tonal values, which makes a lot of color images look flat or grayed. We can adjust exposure in Pre and Post Processing, get the most out of the image. Knowing this allowed those like Ansel Adams, Weston, and Stiecken and others to become Masters of the art in every image.... This is excellentt photography and composition... To those who wish to create Such Greyscale images search for 'DIGITAL ZONE SYSTEM" ON THE nternet. This image was FEATURED in the group 'ANSEL ADAMS Influence..."
