Description
What a night. It was so hot all day and a cooling breeze finally showed up late in the evening while the Milky Way was shining high in the southern sky and the waiting began for the Perseid meteor shower to begin. This image was taken at Caprock Canyons State Park, Texas This image has four meteors with the brightest one crossing the heart of the Milky Way.
The red trees were caused by a neighbor shining their light my direction.
