Description
These old Mexican Chihuahua spurs are quite old, not sure how old. I've had them a long time and when they were new they were overlaid with silver, which has now worn off. They were obviously use alot due to the loose rowels that jingle and all the play in the rowel pins. These spurs were made to be worn with sandals since the Mexicans had no boots and wore sandals.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This image was taken in the Texas panhandle with a Nikon D300, a Nikkor 28-105 lens and a Nikon SB800 Speedlight. The old stump I found a long time ago and use it for many still lifes, plus this is the resting place for these spurs.

I had to revisit these beauties. Gorgeous capture and still life. Of course, growing up around this life, I love them deeply. They take me back to a simpler time.

My gosh these are gorgeous. I never knew the workmanship that went into spurs and saddlery until recently. Beautiful presentation Karen. F/L
