I was taking lightning pictures in the Texas panhandle and noticed the moon high in the sky behind the storm clouds. The clouds were a long exposure in case I got a lightning capture showing the movement of the clouds. I took another shot of the moon and put the two images together showing what I saw. I hope you enjoy this image as much as I enjoyed making it.
I have recently gotten into bird photography and really love taking their pictures. I also have a passion for clouds and the Texas landscape when the storms come rolling in. Lightning is a favorite subject during storms. I love macro photography and all the hidden detail in these amazing closeups. My arsenal consists of all Nikon cameras, flash units and Nikkor lenses.
