Description
Shadows slowly creeping
Down the prairie trail
Everything is sleeping
Ah, but the nightingale
Moon will soon be climbing
In the purple sky
Night winds all a-humming
This tender lullaby
Cares of the day have fled
My little sleepyhead
The stars are in the sky
Time that the prayers were said
My little sleepyhead
To a prairie lullaby
Saddle up your pony
The sandman's here
To guide you down the trail of dreams
Tumble in bed my tired
My little sleepyhead
To a prairie lullaby
I'm not sure who wrote the lyrics to this song.
All images were taken in the Texas panhandle.

I really love the composition of this work. It has the perfect title since it has a dreamy feel to it. Gorgeous work.

This is spectacular. What a beautiful representation of the subtle beauty of the Texas Panhandle that is often only noticed by those who live there (I was born in Amarillo, and lived a few years in Canyon, wife is from Lubbock.) I love the unusual shape and textures of the building.
Karen Slagle replied:
Thank you Gary, this barn is close to Canyon. I appreciate your kind comments.
