Description
Somewhere in the eastern plains of New Mexico sits an old stone building. I'm not sure what it once was, someone said an old gas station garage. Whatever it was, it's full of character and charm. The roof is long gone, leaving a view to the sky above, braving all the elements of winter and summer. This area of New Mexico was settled by Hispanics and their descendants still reside in this part of the state. If only these old buildings could talk, they would have a story of life, not too different than that all of our stories from long ago.---------------------------
I took this image with my Nikon D700 and a Nikkor 28-200 lens. I enhanced this image in PSCS4. I hope to return to this area sometime this year. It's not far from where I live but just far enough to be a somewhat major trip.

I love the way you composed this work. The wonderful textures and patterns with the window acting as a frame for the landscape. Gorgeous, gorgeous work.

Wonderful image, I love how you did this Karen, especially looking through the window! Great description too, how true about the old buildings, what they could say. L/F
