Description
We had an ice storm last weekend which produced some moody and dark days in the Texas panhandle. I took advantage of the weather and got outside to take some pictures. It sure was cold.

I don't miss the weather, but I do miss seeing miracles of beauty like this.
Karen Slagle replied:
Thank you, Bunny. It is awful today. Our temp is -1 and wind chill is -25 with wind gusts around 50mph. I don't like winter on the plains.

This is an enchanting close-up in black and white. You have a very good eye for the beauty that is in the small details. Such a poetic scene of sleeping nature and a great photo, Karen! l/f

Very moody indeed Karen. Hopefully the ice didn't stay around too long after you got your pictures! f/v

This is so gorgeous. I love the light shines through the edges of the ice. Excellent work.
