Description
The American Cowboy, an iconic image. Yes they still exist. I layered two images together as an experiment. The background image is Palo Duro Canyon, Texas. I superimposed the steer and cowboy image on top. Look closely and you will see the grasses showing through on the horse, steer and cowboy.----------------------------------------
This cowboy was looking for a lost steer and found him in the tall grasses along the creek.------------------------------------
Also the clouds are a separate layer so that makes 3 images superimposed.--------------------------------
I love horses and cowboys and hope you enjoy my photography.----------------------------

A fabulous work Karen. Would you believe we came upon a cattle drive in Utah in the middle of a wildlife refuge? :o)
Karen Slagle replied:
Really?...how cool was that? Again, thanks so much for your visits and comments.

I love this Karen - the way you've layered these adds a kind of ghostly quality to it...as if this is a way of life drifting away. Beautiful work. F/V

Very cool image, Karen. I do love the look of this, as you say with the two layered images. I am glad you described that, because I was at first puzzled that my eyes were playing tricks on me! It gives it a great texture and the images go together perfectly! fav/v61
