Description
I found this old rock house on the eastern plains of New Mexico. If only it could talk, the stories it would tell. All I could hear was the wind moaning across the mesas and the hawks calling while looking for prey.

Revisiting this beautiful capture. Love the framing of the window and the textures/patterns of the stone wall.

I like the color image the best, but I also like this in black and white. It has a sad, desolate mood to it. Very lonely. Fabulous work Karen.

How spooky and creative that is? I love the birds! And the b&w are giving it very special feeling! f/v

Thank you Eti, glad you like it. It was spooky yet very cool. All that could be heard was the wind blowing.

What an amazing shot! Great in b&w !! I love all the ancient stone work and old weathered wood! v.f ( I bet you have more birds than you think, You should try hanging a feeder with some black oil sunflower seed and see if you get some nibbles.. I get the most traffic in the winter and early spring.. I remember the Shrikes, Road Runners, and Mockingbirds, along with Hawks and Owls, but non of them eat from the feeders..

Oh my friend, I have been away FAR too long - and have just dozens of gorgeous things to catch up on. But I must say, I just adore this Karen - so nostalgic, and very poignant as well! Lovely. F/V
